Assistant Job Duties

  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
  • Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing
  • information; initiating telecommunications
  • Maintains executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel
  • Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions
  • Work with the executive to draft ongoing agendas for Board meetings and Committee meetings
  • Maintain statistical information regarding grant-making activity
  • Respond to inquiries from nonprofit organizations regarding Glazer Philanthropies grant-making guidelines and LOI
  • Where needed and appropriate, conduct additional research into the relevant field of interest and/or nonprofit organization

  • Bachelor's degree; graduate work and/or graduate degree in related field desirable
  • Extensive communication skills, both orally and written
  • Significant skills in organizing, analyzing, presenting data, reaching conclusions and developing recommendations
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with a wide range of individuals
  • Motivated and results oriented
  • Work experience relevant to the mission and focus of the Glazer Philanthropies
