Job Title: High School and College English and Language Arts Tutor
Department: Bridge to the Future (BTF)
Reports to: Program Director of Teen and Young Adult Services
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 20 hours per week
Hourly Rate: 14.00 per hour
Under the direction of the Program Director of Teen and Young Adult Services, the Tutor holds the primary responsibility of working one-on- one and in small groups (3-4) with members in areas of English, Language Arts, and Literature. The Tutor will work closely with the High School Pathways Coordinator and other BTF tutor(s) to ensure that high school members are on track to graduate and have the option of going to college. To meet this end, the Tutor will identify members’ academic needs and work closely with them to develop or maintain essential academic skills. The Tutor will provide reports to the High School Pathways Coordinator and the Program Director of Teen and Young Adult Services on the overall progress and success of our members. This job is performed by completing the following duties and responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Program Director of Teen and Young Adult Services, the Tutor will meet the following requirements and perform the following duties personally and through interns/volunteers:
