SALARY RANGE: $66,000-$72,000 (annually)

REPORTS TO: Managing Director & Program Director

STATUS: Full-time- Exempt

Job Overview:

The HR Manager is critical in supporting the organization's mission by overseeing all aspects of human resources management. This position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization's goals while fostering a positive work environment for staff members. The HR Manager will work closely with leadership to attract, develop, and retain talented individuals passionate about our cause.

Roles & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, update, and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's mission and values.

Manage and implement the recruitment and selection process, including job postings and marketing, candidate screening, setting up and hosting interviews, preparing hiring documents, and onboarding.

Initiate and manage staff development and training initiatives to enhance skills and promote professional growth.

Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee programs.

Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and performance management.

Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, including non-profit-specific regulations.

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.

Proficiency in conducting sexual harassment training for both staff and management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations relevant to non-profit organizations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)or equivalent is preferred.
