To ensure the successful delivery of child development services which address the needs of children and parents of various ethnic groups from surrounding communities. The developmentally based program and activities are planned within the scope of the Mission of the YWCA GLA.
Roles & responsibilities
Primary Duties:
Ensures the continued, smooth operation of the childcare facility in full compliance with the California State Department of Social Services (DPSS), Community Care Licensing Division, and all applicable health and safety regulations.
Ensures compliance at the childcare facility with all the terms and conditions of the funding sources, whether public or private.
Ensures compliance with Child and Adult Care Food program.
Selects and trains staff as needed in conjunction with the agency's professional development goals.
Schedules and supervises personnel in the program.
Maintain program enrollment, recruits families into the program, and conducts pre-enrollment interviews with parents and children.
Meets regularly with the Director of Child Development Services to evaluate the needs of the program.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary: $66,560/year

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education (including administration units for DPSS licensing requirements) and three semester units of supervised field experience in ECE setting.
- Two years supervisory experience or Site Director experience required
- Headstart or California State Preschool Program experience highly desired
- Valid Site Director Permit required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Child Development curriculum methods and materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of California State Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Regulations.
- Knowledge of Child and Adult Care Food Program
- Valid CA Driver's License and auto insurance.
- Reside within 15 miles of Child Development Center address
